紫外線是導(dǎo)致幾乎所有暴露于戶外的材料發(fā)生降解的主要原因。Q8老化試驗(yàn)機(jī)模擬太陽光中的紫外線部分，UVA-340燈管可*佳模擬太陽光的短波段。它特別適用于比較不同種類聚合物和穩(wěn)定劑之間的性能差異。它是用于材料相關(guān)性研究的*好的燈管。

紫外光與陽光模擬
紫外光是造成戶外產(chǎn)品光降解作用的主要因素。Q8的熒光紫外燈可模擬陽光中*重要的短波紫外光，再現(xiàn)光照引起的材料物理性能的老化。根據(jù)不同的測試條件，有幾種不同的紫外燈管可供選擇。
Q8燈管
UVA-340燈管. UVA-340 燈管可地模擬太陽光中的短波紫外光，即從365 納米到太陽光截止點(diǎn) 295 納米的波長范圍。

UVB-313燈管. UVB-313 燈管發(fā)出的短波紫外光比通常照射在地球表面的太陽紫外線強(qiáng)烈，從而可以*大程度的加速材料老化。然而，該燈管可能會(huì)對某些材料造成不符合實(shí)際的破壞。UVB-313 燈管主要用于質(zhì)量控制和研究開發(fā)，或?qū)δ秃蛐缘牟牧线\(yùn)行測試。
Q8 潮濕模擬
Q8提供兩種潮濕模擬方法。應(yīng)用*多的是冷凝方法，它是模擬戶外潮濕侵蝕的*好方法。所有的Q8型號都可運(yùn)行冷凝循環(huán)。因?yàn)橛行?yīng)用條件也要求使用水噴淋以達(dá)到實(shí)際的效果，所以有些Q8型號既可運(yùn)行冷凝循環(huán)又可運(yùn)行水噴淋循環(huán)。

在很多戶外環(huán)境中，材料每天的潮濕時(shí)間可長達(dá)12小時(shí)。研究表明造成這種戶外潮濕的主要因素是露水，而不是雨水。Q8通過的冷凝功能來模擬戶外的潮濕侵蝕。在冷凝循環(huán)中，通過加熱試驗(yàn)機(jī)底部水盤來產(chǎn)生水蒸汽。熱的水蒸汽使試驗(yàn)箱在較高溫度下保持99%相對濕度。在Q8的設(shè)計(jì)中，試樣實(shí)際上構(gòu)成試驗(yàn)箱的側(cè)壁，試樣的背面暴露在實(shí)驗(yàn)室室內(nèi)空氣中。室內(nèi)空氣的冷卻作用導(dǎo)致試樣表面溫度比水蒸汽溫度低幾度，從而保證水蒸汽會(huì)連續(xù)不斷地在樣品表面凝結(jié)。這種冷凝水是很穩(wěn)定的純凈蒸餾水。
